My Top 3 Money Books to Help You Change Your Money Mindset
I love reading, and I love money so I love reading about money. It’s said that everyone has a book in them and I love learning about other people's stories and opinions through their words. I wanted to review 3 of my favourite money books to give you the key insights & takeaways from them so you can begin to change your money mindset from one of lack to from of abundance. (You can also watch the video here or listen to the podcast here.)
The Illusion of Money by Kyle Cease
This is one of the first money books I read that really resonated with me, after years of reading & rereading Think & Grow Rich or anything by Tony Robbins - finally a book that I feel within my soul. Kyle is a comedian and spiritual teacher so the book itself is light and amusing throughout but the content is pure wisdom.
My key takeaways:
We have been conditioned throughout society to believe that money is scarce, this is not the truth - the only truth of the universe is abundance, just take a look around you.
He teaches you how to open your mind to the concept that money itself is an illusion, just as the beliefs of scarcity and lack are.
The thought that money will bring you freedom is also an illusion. You are already free and if you’re chasing money to give you freedom then surely that's bonding you?
Your awareness and frequency will rise while reading this, your mind will automatically open to being able to write a new money story and change your beliefs.
He speaks about how you’re attracting or repelling money with how you act towards it which is eye opening.
One of the most thought provoking concepts for me was that we use money as an excuse not to follow our highest calling. When this suck in and I started to stop chasing money for the sake of money and started following my highest calling, my entire life changed

Rich As F*ck by Amanda Frances
This one is for all my wealthy women out there! It’s also for wealthy men. Amanda Frances is known as ‘The Money Queen’ who has built her empire from nothing. Her story of how she got to where she is now is rather inspiring and her book is very empowering. It’s written in a too the point way and is full of wisdom. It’s also very practical so as you’re working through it you can start to put what you’re learning into practice and begin to make changes in your life immediately.
My key takeaways:
Amanda does a great job of reframing everything you may have been taught about money, from why ‘money is the root of all evil’ to ‘I must work hard to earn lots of money’ - when you begin to reframe your limiting beliefs you begin to rewire your brain and subconscious mind
Through her style, who she is and her presence on the internet she is showing people how it can look to be insanely rich, and why it is totally okay to flaunt your stuff - this is where her amazing female empowerment comes in
One of my favorite quotes from the book is; ‘We need people with big hearts, loads of money and an intention to change the financial landscape of this world.’ Can you imagine the possibilities if we had more money in the hands of the healers and changemakers of the world?
I love that she is very transparent about her own journey and talks numbers quite openly. When I find myself in a ‘lack’ mindset I often will put her book on for an hour and raise my energy, it instantly reminds me why I deserve to be wealthy.

The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles
The daddy of all money books, written even before Think & Grow Rich. I have probably learned the most about wealth generation from this book and it’s one I always find myself coming back to. It’s really short so easy to dip in and out of. Wattles describes it as a book for those who want to ‘get rich first and philosophise after’ which made me laugh - whether that was his intention or not! Think of it as your practical guide to a wealthy life.
My Key Takeaways:
I love that he goes into wealth & riches not just being about money, this is so important for anyone on a journey to living their best life - you have to appreciate your rich life without money before you will ever appreciate it with money. Wealth is a whole journey.
His book, even though it may not come across this way at first, is very spiritual which I love. He speaks about ‘oneness’ with all and the frequencies which we’re living in, concepts that have now been proved by science.
My biggest takeaway probably is his explanation of why we MUST be rich and our ‘right to be rich’ - we cannot live as our fullest spiritual and human expression in this lifetime without wealth, again because the only truth of this universe is abundance. If you neglect this ‘right’ then you are doing a disservice to humanity.
My favorite quote from the book is; ‘To set about getting rich in a scientific way, you do not try to apply your will power to anything outside yourself. To get rich, you only need to use your willpower upon yourself.’ Meaning that our internal world creates our external world and as you change internally your external circumstances will change, this is the most important thing I teach my own clients. Focus on changing your own mind and your life will change.

My recommendation for anyone on a spiritual journey or a journey to their wealthiest life is to embark upon your own personal study of money and freedom. There are so many books, courses and coaches out there that can help you get where you need to go (you don’t need to go through the struggle on your own) so find who and what resonates with you and follow that, trust your intuition on this journey.
