How to Actually Create the Life You Want
Rather than living a life you have been conditioned to…
Have you ever found yourself dreaming of a life that feels deeply fulfilling but then dismissing it as "unrealistic" or "too far out of reach"? You’re not alone. Many of us get caught in cycles of settling, holding onto outdated beliefs, or staying in patterns that keep us from living the life we truly desire.
But here’s the truth: living the life you want is not only possible—it’s within your power. It all begins with a shift in perspective and some intentional actions.
Here’s how to stop wishing for change and start creating it:
1. Know Who You Are and What You Want
Before you can create a life that feels aligned, you need clarity on your identity and desires. This means diving deep into self-discovery. What lights you up? What values are non-negotiable for you? Often, we live based on societal expectations or the opinions of others than runs deep in our conditioning, but your dream life is rooted in your unique essence - it runs deeper than you know on a conscious level. Take time to reflect and ask yourself: Who am I really? What do I truly want?
2. Recognise That It’s an Inner Game
The life you want isn’t built by external factors alone. Your inner world—your mindset, beliefs, and emotions—creates the foundation of your outer reality. If you’re holding onto fear, self-doubt, or limiting beliefs, you’ll unconsciously sabotage your growth. The good news? You have the power to make the unconscious conscious, reprogram your mind, release the old stories, and align with the energy of abundance and possibility. This is your true nature.
3. Make Changes in Alignment With Your Vision
Shadow work, mindset work and visualisation are important, but they must be followed by action. Start by making small, intentional changes that align with your vision. This could mean saying no to things that drain your energy, prioritising your passions, or stepping out of your comfort zone. Aligning your actions with your vision creates momentum and begins to bring your dreams into reality.
4. Stop Settling!
One of the biggest barriers to living the life you want is settling for repeated past experiences. This can look like staying in unfulfilling relationships, tolerating a job that drains you, or avoiding the hard decisions that would lead to growth. Stop settling for what feels “safe” or “good enough” - your ego will tell you it’s what you want because its what it knows but the life you want is only available outside of the known. You’re worthy of a life that feels extraordinary—but it starts with choosing not to settle for repeating the past.
5. Commit to Devotion
Creating the life you want isn’t a one-time decision; it’s a daily practice. Devotion means consistently showing up for yourself, your dreams, and your vision—even when it feels challenging. It’s about staying connected to your purpose and taking inspired action, no matter how small, every day. Devotion keeps your energy focused and your momentum alive.
